Songs of the Week – Mallory

I don’t listen to music much so some of these songs might have came out awhile ago but I never discovered them until recently.

Ever since watching We Got Married with Jo Kwon and Ga In I’ve been obsessed with 2AM. This is kind of strange since I rarely listen to Korean music but I found a very deep liking toward 2AM. I know there’s a group called 2PM too but I have no idea who or what they are. I just know their leader was kicked out of the group or something like that and now he’s making a comeback.

ANYWAY, here are the songs that have been on repeat on the iPod.

Talented Musician – Taylor Matthews

This video link was given to me by my friend, Vi. She was telling me how he’s probably her favorite contestant in America’s Got Talent. I took a look at the video and he’s an amazing singer. Love his voice, love his arrangement, love him. I hope he makes it far in the competition. Also, doesn’t he reminds you of Jason Mrax? I got this Jason Mrax vibe from him as I watched the video.

**With all these Taylors becoming famous and being talented that means whoever is expecting a kid should name their baby Taylor. LOL!**

Music Video Project coming soon!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Have a few projects going on including the next giveaway. One of the biggest and most recent is a music video that I have been doing photography for the “behind the scenes” and such. Once the video is released I will have a post with the music video and the photos from it up!

So stay tuned for a lot of content and giveaways coming up in the next few weeks and months!

Tell Me Goodbye – Big Bang

Yay for Big Bang!! Haha. I just love this song!

LYRICS

It’s part of the Japan Iris OST. I’ve seen the drama and song fits it really well. I can even picture of the pain that Kim Hyun Joon (Lee Byung Hun) and Choi Seung Hee (Kim Tae Hee) went through. The song is definitely worth a listen. ALSO, TOP is so freaking hot <3

Bubble Love – MC Mong & Seo In Young

Haven’t listened or been into Korean music in a long time and I’m glad I ran across this song. MC Mong and Seo In Young compliments each other very well. Her voice is so powerful in this song, I love it!

Makes me wonder what kind of songs I missed out on when I stopped listening to Korean music…..

Somewhere Out There

Sorry, I re-watched the episode of Community that played this song. I had to share it with everyone because it is stuck in my head. And I did first hear this when I was a kid watching An American Tail. The first is the original from the film, the second is the version from community *SPOILER ALERT* and finally is a version I found on youtube, listen to the later part after she sings as a kid.

Lupe Fiasco Concert

Picture taken by Tracy Vangh

Lupe Fiasco came into town yesterday and I attended his concert with a friend. He performed at one of the private colleges in Minnesota. I must say though, the drive there was so dead – it was like we were driving to the middle of nowhere. Once we got there we wondered why Lupe Fiasco chose to come to a small town like this. Oh the things we will do for him…

Azzie – Soul Sauce (Tsuenori Remix)

I heard this song in February off Tsuenori’s myspace page I think, I was looking for one of their albums. Seems like this remix was limited to a Japan release so I have been patiently waiting to find it. Here it is folks! I LOVE this song.

Mekalek – Live and Learn

Well here is my song of the day. Pretty old from 2006, I found it on one of Nomak’s old albums, I like that version a little better but cannot find it. Good song and pretty sick beat, blasting it in the car for the past few days.

Audible Mainframe – Redwine & Xanax

Since MALLORY refused to let me change my song of the day, here’s some more beats to share.

I found this off the In Ya Mellow Tone 4 album, a lot of good tracks in there.

Relationships. Mistakes. Love. Understanding. Coping. Growing.

Martina McBride and Dumbfoundead Collab?!

The Next Susan Boyle?

I know everyone is probably blogging about this young boy, but I can’t help it. I feel a sense of injustice if I did not share his amazing talent with everyone.

Lin Yu Chun has recently been dubbed as the next Susan Boyle after winning a Taiwanese talent show last week. He belted out to Whitney Houston’s song, “I Will Always Love You” to win the competition.

His winning performance has been filling up my Facebook news feed ever since Wednesday night and has not creased. I mean, why would it? He’s an amazing singer.

Although, I would like to add that I seriously thought I was listening to a girl when I first watched the video. You cannot deny that fact that he sounded slightly like a girl, can you? Beside that I was also drawn into his bowl shaped hair cut? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that haircut on anyone since….FOREVER? I think the last time I really saw anything like that was on me. Back in the days (yeah WAY back in the days) when I was a kid, my dad thought that was the coolest haircut in the world – literally. He also thought he was the best hairdresser too. Long story short, he would cut my hair like that.

If you haven’t seen his performance it’s definitely worth a look.

Anan Ryoko feat. Kero One – Forever We Will Be

Beautiful piano work from Anan Ryoko and some sick lyrics from Kero One

Dumbfoundead Feat Sam Ock – Different Galaxies

Haha pretty funny song. Dumbfoundead has got some talent, I remember his battles from a few years ago. Funny stuff. Hope to see him make it.
