Cereal and water

Well yesterday was a little more stressful than I wanted, but I guess it all mellowed out eventually.

Mixer was not that bad, met some more people and drank a biiit.

A bit too much, but I was able to make it to a friend’s birthday dinner in the city. Front Porch was… I don’t know I only had the mac and cheese because alcohol wasn’t making me the happiest camper. That didn’t make me feel too happy after a few bites either, but maybe one day I might go back and check it out. For soul food I know much tastier looking places for a more reasonable price, but can’t complain cus I didn’t try.

Costume stuff was not picked up, I guess I could get some stuff from work probably so I will see how that goes.

The plan:

Weather is nice so I plan to play some ball when I get back home… or take a nap haha I would rather play some ball but lack of sleep = no bueno

Either way I need to cook dinner before I go out, mmmmm what tasty treat shall it be tonight?! >:D

After that it is Ferry Corsten @ Ruby Skye to play play play!

I also plan to create a new habit, take a picture a day. Just one that I can post on the blog that catches my attention or I can play around with a bit. Doesn’t exactly have to be with the SLR, anything will do.

Pew pew!

Dark and mysterious

So I finished up the photos, but ran into some trouble. Apparently when I view the pictures through Lightroom and my computer everything is peachy, when it gets transferred over to someone else, not so peachy. Colors and lighting gets distorted and everything turns out… not what I wanted. So I have to reedit some of the pictures and figure out what is going wrong. Hurray for learning as I go!

FINALLY I will not starve to death. Went to Ranch 99 and picked up groceries. Nice veggie and longanisa plate coming up soon? mmmm I think sooo

Also while I was out in that area I stopped by Pepper Lunch, tried out their Chicken Yakisoba Plate. Very very delicious.

After that it was off to the shooting range. Shots are getting more consistent and tighter grouping, however there are still some random shots that are hitting way off mark. Should be able to fix that soon.

Dreams:
I haven’t had a real dream that I could remember in a while. Last night was… interesting. First was a dream of an ex and I… that was interesting haha. I won’t go into too much details. I woke up and looked around and realized that it wasn’t her there, thaaat could have turned out… weird to say the least.

Passed out again and dreamt that I blew a seal on the car, water mixed in with the oil, but it was quite an over exageration because there was a lot of water mixed in… like.. A LOT.

Woke up and again… realized I wasn’t staring at the poor doomed car.

The last dream kept me awake until my alarm went off pretty much. All I was doing was staring at the rice cooker that I am picking up today… yes a rice cooker. I was trying to figure out how it worked and just when I was about to figure it out, I woke up.

So I was dreaming about stuff that was going through my head and things that I am worried about, only to dream about a rice cooker. My subconscious is fucked. Not crazy fucked, just “What’s  your malfunction?!” fucked.

Pretty simple dream, wanting to get rid of the thoughts of my ex (only to have a dream about her), worrying that the car is going to blow up any day (which seems like it is getting close to that) and… I dunno about the rice cooker. That is the one that bothers me the most, I thought about it for maybe 30 seconds yesterday before I bought a bag of rice. This one might be the most difficult to crack… damn you evil rice!!!

The plan:

Today I have a happy hour mixer thing to go to. A bunch of business owners and… women getting together to have drinks and just a social event. Been to a few before, not too shabby and I realize as I am getting older that this is what it may eventually come to for me, possibly not if I decide to go a different route.

Need to make sure I pick up some costume stuff, that is about it though.

The rest of my evening I think I will just wing it.

Play time!!!!

Ferry Corsten is one of my favorite DJ’s.  I have always loved his style and his sets are so good. Every flows smoothly and its easy to just sit back, relax and get lost in the music. Or get up and dance the night away!

Broken Bridges

Apparently the bay bridge is closed, again. This seems more like a conspiracy now, every time a  holiday comes up, the bridge seems to break or there is some work that needs to be done that means the entire bridge closing. Well at least it is better than a high volume of traffic crossing it and THEN it breaking. Also it doesn’t affect me too much seeing that I don’t cross the bridge that often anymore. HOWEVER, traffic may be an issue when I get off work. This morning wasn’t that bad because I am up pretty early to avoid traffic in the first place, and I was being an ass and ninja’ing in and out of the carpool lane >:D

There is plenty of work that I was not able to catch up on yesterday, it got busy near the end of the day and I had to sort out some other stuff. Hopefully today less people call asking me how to work the internet and why what the order is not magically coming out of their computer screen, more on that later.

I was able to get the materials for my Halloween costume, it’s simple enough that a three year old can put it together… but I will some how make it cute.

Deadline for my photography work is tomorrow, shouldn’t be an issue. I am really starting to realize the importance of lighting because I am disappointed in a lot of these pictures because the lighting was not all that great. At some point of time I need to start ghetto rigging some umbrellas and lights to make my own set up. Hopefully my trusty friends google and youtube provide me with some wonderful cheap alternatives… without it being narrated by a 12 year old who tries to make me sound like an idiot.

At my apartment there is a cop that stops by at least once or twice a week to pick up a girl, they sit in the cop car and I guess talk. Do I smell adultery? Or maybe that is his wifey and he just wants some alone time with her, while in uniform, kinkay. Also there is a guy that always sits outside the front door of the building to, what I assume, steal internet. I found out his he as a latina sibling (I think) that is pretty cute. Mmmmm she had cute pajama shorts on, too bad it was freezing cold. I’m a sucker for booty shorts though *nose bleed*

The plan:

I have a bunch of stuff I need to do at work, but I was told to put it off to submit a report by today. I guess I will have to do that then, I need to clear room from around and on my desk!!! >:(

I will hold off on my costume prep because I can probably do that Friday when I get off work and before I go out.

The deadline for my photography stuff is today so when I get off work, I need to home and take care of that. I will put a few pictures up here when I am finished.

There is a possibility that I might starve to death after that… seeing as I failed to get groceries yesterday. Apparently being side tracked talking to random people and going random places is more important than eating and staying alive.

Great Teacher Onizuka JDrama

I first heard about GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) from a friend of mine. It’s a manga about a teacher that used to be in a motorcycle gang and a delinquent in school, and grew up to be a perv that wanted to become a teacher.

The manga I can review later because it was amazing, each character and all their issues interacted so well together and it was a really touching yet very amusing and funny story.

The live action dumbs it down a bit and makes it more realistic, apparently a man running down the side of the building to catch someone isn’t possible in the real world… psssh puuuuuulease, I do that every day.

Characters were developed pretty well, each had their own uniqueness that made them easy to remember who was who. I didn’t like how they dumbed down Onizuka though… I mean he was not nearly as perverted, not as badass and rode a bicycle around cmooon. He didn’t even really smoke as much… at the very least they could have bleached his hair and gave him more ear piercings.

Have you ever had to watch dramas in the early or late 90′s with your grandmother or aunt? The cheesy music… zoom in shots of the eye brow raised… over the top facial expressions. It’s all there. Facial expressions are not conveyed nearly as well as the manga, but a very good attempt was made.

It follows the manga pretty well in the beginning, due to them making it shorter and only 12 episodes, a lot of the side stories were taken out and characters put together into one. I don’t have the money to really produce a full 3 or 4 season drama, but if I did I would definitely have made this one. The story was done well though, it was funny and very touching.

With more episodes, side character development and characters that were just a little more over the top, it would have been perfect. I would suggest taking some time to find it and watch it though.

Time to get SRS!

Oh the joys of cooking hamburgers, limited ventilation in my apartment, and smoke detector. Yes I learned my lesson though, open my window all the way, have my fan and the bathroom fan running and no annoying alarm going off.

Recipe of the day!:
Try adding soy sauce to your ground beef before making your burgers. WARNING! Use VERY little… less than tea spoon per patty, also letting it sit over night also makes it very good. Make sure you have pepper too.. I keep forgetting to buy the stuff so… everything I make has been a little salty :(

The Plan:

Woohoo! Halloween is coming up soon, hrmmm what to do? Since my bummy ass was too lazy to make my costume ahead of time… I have a new plan. I’ll begin gathering materials muahaha

Today is hopefully the official catch-up-on-shit-i-have-to-do-at-work day. We will see how that goes.

After work it is the usual, gym and then I have to go grocery shopping. I think this week I might try out chicken recipes.
