Taking a short break

As you may have noticed I have been unable to post for quite a while. Unfortunately my laptop died and it was my only actual computer I am really able to use outside of work. :( Well fear not, we will be coming back better than ever. I am going to take this time to redesign and rethink the direction of the blog along with some new goodies that will come back along with me. I will still be updating the blog from time to time but mainly just reposts, a lot of the unique content will have to wait for sometime.

Well thanks everyone and check back soon for a better Will Blank For Food!

Songs of the Week – Mallory

I don’t listen to music much so some of these songs might have came out awhile ago but I never discovered them until recently.

Ever since watching We Got Married with Jo Kwon and Ga In I’ve been obsessed with 2AM. This is kind of strange since I rarely listen to Korean music but I found a very deep liking toward 2AM. I know there’s a group called 2PM too but I have no idea who or what they are. I just know their leader was kicked out of the group or something like that and now he’s making a comeback.

ANYWAY, here are the songs that have been on repeat on the iPod.

L’Oreal HIP Jelly Balm

L to R: Delectable, Ripe, Delectable, Plush, Succulent

Stopped by Walgreen’s yesterday and picked up the L’Oreal HIP Jelly Balm. They were on sale for $2.49 a piece (regularly $9). L’Oreal items were also buy one, get one half off so I got all of mine for under $10.

So far I’m liking them a lot. The colors are sheer but still noticeable. It’s moisturizing and the staying power is pretty decent. I had to reapply after 2-3 hours so it’s not so bad. One down side to this lip balm is that it’s sticky which is pretty understandable since it’s a jelly balm but because it doesn’t have a doe foot applicator your finger gets very sticky. One thing I do like about it is the smell. I know sounds a little weird but the scent of these lip balms are almost vanilla-ly-ish?

One thing to note is that these lip balms are very pricey if not on sale. Although, I do recommend that everyone try these out I don’t think it’s worth paying the full price. If you would like to give these a try then purchase them when they’re on sale or something.

As an added bonus I also picked up these nail polishes when I grabbed the lip balms. Sinful Color was picked up at Walgreens, Hidden Treasure at K-Mart, and Shooting Star at Target.

L to R: Sinful Colors All About You, Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, Sally Hansen Shooting Star

Talented Musician – Taylor Matthews

This video link was given to me by my friend, Vi. She was telling me how he’s probably her favorite contestant in America’s Got Talent. I took a look at the video and he’s an amazing singer. Love his voice, love his arrangement, love him. I hope he makes it far in the competition. Also, doesn’t he reminds you of Jason Mrax? I got this Jason Mrax vibe from him as I watched the video.

**With all these Taylors becoming famous and being talented that means whoever is expecting a kid should name their baby Taylor. LOL!**

Shopping Madness

Everyone that knows me knows that I love to shop. Then again, doesn’t every girl? Here are all the items that I bought within 2-3 days. I’ll probably do a post like this every now and then or whenever I feel like it.

Ulta Haul

Single Eyeshadow in Sage, Knit, Stardust, & Key West – $14
All Ulta brand items were buy 2, get 2 free. I bought two eye shadows and got the other two for free. The eye shadows were $7 a piece.

Sebastian Shaper Plus Hair Spray – $6.99
Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Sugar Scrub – $6.99
The Sebastian Shaper and Shaper Plus hairsprays were on sale for $6.99 from the original $15.95. For the body scrub it was more of an impulse buy. I was looking around their bath items and found it. I thought it was cheap and the portion was pretty generous so I bought it. Another reason is that my scrub is almost out too.

MAC Haul – To The Beach Limited Collection

Sweet & Punchy – $14.50
This color is beautiful – just simply beautiful.

Float On By – $14.50
I’m kind of mad about the broken tip on this one. The cap was on there very tight so when I pulled it off forcefully it scraped against the cap and broke.

For Love Haul (The accessories store of Forever 21)

Floral Ring – $3.80

From Spork to Chork

Yes, you’ve guessed it a chopstick and fork combination! The folks at Brown Innovation Group, Incorporated (B.I.G Inc.) have decided to make life easier on us and created a chopstick and fork infused utensil.

The idea is to help those who are always using a fork on foods that you would typically use a chopstick on (like sushi) to familiarize themselves with the chopstick. There is three way process in becoming an “expert” according to the website.

You start off in the fork stage which is just essentially using the fork. You gradually move on to the cheater or trainer stage. In this stage you would use the chopstick end and pretty much practice and try to get a feel of using a chopstick. There’s not much work that’s put into this because the two pieces are still connected. The chork is flexible enough for you to still grab food. Once you get the hang of using the chopstick end of the chork you would take it apart. And there you go, you’ve hit the chopstick stage of this three way process!!

More information about the three way process, ways to order the Chork for your restaurants, or just about the awesome Chork can be found on their website here.

So what do you think would you like to give it a try? Doesn’t it look kind of awesome? I want to give it a try!!
